Subject:How many measures possible? Posted by: john_rowland Date:4/23/2002 9:07:34 AM I'm using Acid Pro 2.0 due to the constraints of my PC. Maybe I'm using Acid "the wrong way... i.e. trying to use it like a multi-track, but what I was aiming to do was to construct songs with several verses + choruses, etc. using mostly loops. Last night I came to the realization that I couldn't go beyond 48 measures. Is that a finite limit or is there a setting I can change to lengthen it? If it is a limitation, what is the best way to continue to use Acid to build "sections" and tie themm together into a full length piece? Thanks John Rowland obvious newbie

Reply by: john_rowland Date:4/23/2002 10:43:53 AM Current project, I'm trying to lay down about 100 measures of ryhthm section (intro, verse, verse, chorus, bridge, verse, chorus, ending) using about 10 different instrument and percussion loops to get that done. Plan was to dub off the finished product to a cd or cassette to use a track to sing and play acoustic guitar in front of. The program will only let me go out 48 measures and no farther. John

(I've heard instances of users going up to an hour's worth+ of music.) Try copying and pasting a section like the chorus around the right edge of the timeline window. ACID should accommodate for the new audio data. HTH, Iacobus
Subject:RE: How many measures possible? Reply by: vanblah Date:4/23/2002 2:11:16 PM Are the tracks loops or one-shots? If they aren't loops then they'll only go out as far as the length of the original sample. Loops repeat indefinitely.

When i grabbed a loop and pulled it to the right, it went without limits. Thanks for your help. John
