sound forge is not recodring correctly -Sound Forge - PC

I am using a terratec ews 88mt sound card under win xp. Acid and Vegas audio le both have no problems recording. however, when I try to record into Sound forge the pitch is lowered and the audio has some bizarre distortion on it. I cannot figure this one out. all of the levels appear to be fine (not in the red). I know it is not the sound card because the other programs record fine. I just want to make some mono 24/96 loops and disc based files and sound forge is driving me insane. Please help!

Be absolutely sure the sample rate you're recording at matches that what's set in the Terratec's software mixer for S/PDIF sample rate (if there is one). Are you recording via the Terratec's S/PDIF?

Be absolutely sure the sample rate you're recording at matches that what's set in the Terratec's software mixer for S/PDIF sample rate (if there is one). Otherwise, you might get what you're experiencing due to sample rates mismatching.
