Subject:No monitor sound from sound card in Acid Pro

Guys, Ladies,

I'm using the Creative Audigy MP3+ card with a guitar plugged directly into the sound card. If I use the Creative recoding utility I can hear the guitar and record it just fine. I open Acid and try to record and no dice. I've gone through the options (having used recording software before) to no avail. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Try this: Go to Options>Preferences on the menu bar and under the Audio tab, select, "Windows Classic Wave Driver" under "Audio device type" and your specific soundcard's output under "Default audio playback device."

Then try recording again. Be sure to check out the "Record device" option under the Record dialog.

(I'm assuming you have ACID Pro, which is the only version of ACID that will let you select specific soundcards for playback/recording.)
