Subject:Acid Music editing

I am using acid music 3.0. It is great for ripping and slicing tracks, but are the editing tools capable of fading in and out at the beginnig and end of a loop? If not how can I obtain this effect?

Yes they are. If you place the mouse pointer in the upper corner of a track/loop, you will see a little quarter-circle icon. You can click and drag in towards the middle of the track/loop to add a fade at either the beginning or end.
