Is it possible to get a Beats per minute count of a sound file, then adjust the sound file to a specific BPM?

Here's how to find the BPM of a file.

In sound Forge select as exactly as possible by listening 1 measure of audio > right click on it, select properties > summary tab, record the number of samples.

Multiply the number of samples per second by the number of seconds in a minute then multiply that by the number of beats in the selection, then divide that number by the number of samples in the selected audio.

Let's use 44.1kHz and 4 beats per measure the equation would be;

44100 x 60 x 4 = 10584000/(number of samples in selected audio) = BPM
