Win 2K
Single PIII @ 866
SF 4.5


When recording in SF 4.5, everything appears to be working just fine. When playing back the recorded file, we find that the file starts out right but somewhere along the way SF goes supersonic. The sound goes from normal to something akin to Alvin, Simon, and Theodore! It's very fast and high pitched. We've tried a bunch of things to change it to normal sound, but no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I had a similar problem on a Dell PIII with Win2k. I went to Dell's update center and downloaded the lastest sound card driver and installed it. This fixed the problem.
