I'm trying to record onto my acid 3.0 software with my Yamaha Keyboard, but no matter what instrument or style I have it set to, it still sounds like the Grand Piano when I play it back in the acid project. Please help!

are you recording through the Line In/Out? Or through Midi?

Use Line In/Out...not midi

seems like acid is transmitting midi channel #1. make sure acid record/playback the corresponding instrument channel.

or change your instrument channel to #1.

Unless you "send" the program change msg to ACID, it wont record this as part of the new track. By default, ACID always uses patch/program change 0, which is Grand Piano for General MIDI.

You can also change the patch used from the Voices tab of the MIDI Track Properties.
