i've got a 60 minute megamix ready to burn but i want to have cd id/start points every 4 minutes or so. how is this done in acid?

There is no way to do this in Acid. You would have to use another program to burn the CD if you want a continuous mix without breaks between tracks. Vegas Video 3.0 can do this.
