What I want to do is put the music for 10 seconds on the left channel and then gradually, in a SINE wave pattern, smoothly move it to the right channel. In this back and forth pattern, the music would be slightly louder on say the right side for a few seconds and then slowly smoothly go to the other side. I am using Sound Forge 6.0a. Thanks in advance, Mykel8 |

You need a plugin which has "Autopan". I use a DX plugin by DSP FX's called Autopan. |

I did this: http://www.chienworks.com/media/sinepan.gif in a few seconds with Process / Fade / Graphic. It's not a sine wave, but it's probably close enough for most purposes. Unforutnately you're limited to the number of control points that can be used, but it might still be a good cheap way to do what you want without a plugin. Using Process / Pan Expand i produced this: http://www.chienworks.com/media/sinepan2.gif quite a bit faster, but i'm not sure if it's mixing the channels together or not. |
