SF6 Audio Drop Out in Batch Converter ADPCM Destination Files -Sound Forge - PC

When I set the 'save' file type to ADPCM (either the MS or IMA variant), the resultant file has drop outs in the audio. I see a loss of waveform (ie silence) for about 18ms and this occurs at a fairly regular intervals throughout the file - approx every second or so. If I save as an uncompressed 16bit file - then the drop outs don't happen. The same thing happened with SF5/BC5 - but curiously SF4.5's batch converter works just fine at doing this. I've tried reinstalling etc and moving the temp file to a faster drive (including a RAM drive) but with no success. Anyone able to advise on a fix or suggest some things to try? Thanks Philip
