Subject:meter colors old vs new Posted by: Rednroll Date:6/12/2002 10:24:11 PM Today, I had SF 4.5 and 6.0 opened at the same time. I have to say, looking at v4.5 it is so much easier on my eyes. In all the new Sonic Foundry software, the metering looks like crap. When I look at SF 4.5 there is a great contrast between the grey color of the work area and the meter colors. Now it looks like with the new looks, that Sonic Foundy is trying to add some kind of mystical look to the program and making the meters blend in with the work area. I really prefer the contrast. If I could run all the new Sonic Foundry software through Adobe Photoshop and re-adjust the contrast I would. Does anyone know how to do this? The grey blob is starting to make my head hurt. Give me some vibrant colors to make the meters jump out at me, like they did in the past. This pastel S#^t makes me want to vomit.

Right click on the desktop/properties/appearance...make sure you have it set to windows classic style[XP only]...then color scheme drop down menu/eggplant or brick. I have mine set to brick right now and enjoy working in ALL the apps even more! Later.

Not sure about 6.0, but in 4.5 you can change the color of the workspace background. I (stupidly) assume that this can still be done. Maybe that will help keep your food down..... :P
