Hi, I want to grab a song and try to make a looping sample from it. I just selected a selection and cut and pasted it as a new file, everything was going very well until i saved it as an mp3. if i save it as a wav its all good.. but if i try to save it as an mp3 SF inserts these little gaps at teh beggining and end of the song. anyone have any idea how to get rid of those... sorry if this has been talked about before but its my first time here and I dont know where to look for this info. |

the silence at the beginning and end of the file is inherent in the .mp3 codec. You can't get rid of it. |

If you are using this with something like a flash, Swish (third party Flash tool) can use waves direclty and loop them properly. The audio is compressed by Swish (to mp3 I think) but still loops just fine. You can check out a simple flash with a loop at http://www.dirtyboymike.com/ . TeeCee |
