Subject:How to save a corrected vocal track using Antares Autotune

My problem is that I use Auto tune plug-in to fix the intonation of my singing. I need to know if I should be using the plug-in chain or DX favorites? Also, once I have made the corrections in the graphical mode of Auto tune how do I save the vocal track with the corrections? I tried to click on save but it doesn't save the work that I have done. It only saves the fact that I added the plug-in to the chain and not the corrections. Please help.

1.open vocal track to be fixed.
2.open up anteres auto tune in the plugin chainer.
3.after fixing all pitch problems you must PRINT or APPLY the FX to the file.[ctrl+shift+p or click the process selection button]
4.you can save the wave file now.

DX favorites is just for storing the names of your plugins that you use often. Alot of us have tons of plugins. Some that we use daily...some when we want to have some fun.Having the DX favorites and plugin chains presets are great shortcuts to have.

Later.

I don't know which version of autotune you're using, but I have v1.1 and it doesn't seem to work properly in the plugin chainer, but functions fine if I put it in the DX menu. It opens in the plugin chainer, but doesn't allow any changes.

OK, I have corrected the vocal tracks and processed the selection, but when I try to save the vocals I get an error message telling me to make sure I have read access to this file/folder. I recorded the track in Acid and imported it into Sound Forge. Can this be the problem? I don't understand what that means. I wrote the darn file why can't I read it? The file opens up fine in Sound Forge so why would I be getting a message like this?

Hey Red, how could I get Autotune into the DX menu? Do you mean putting it into the "Process" drop down list? If so, how would I go about doing so?

You just go to the directX Favorites menu. Then just drag the plugins you use most into the "Favorites" folder. Now when you goto that menu it will appear and use can use it, just you had in the past with v5.0 and 4.5
