i am trying to record my guitar and i hear it but it will not record.how do i fix this?

Can you give a little more info on your system and audio hardware (if applicable)? Sounds like a mixer issue.

hoe do i find out the info?this computer was givin to me so i really dont know what it has

tell us in genral how ur guitar is connected to the computer's soundcard.

if you are using a line in (like u shud) be sure to select line in for the record device in the windoes sound card manager. when u reocrd in acid lookit the level monitors to c if anything is coming through.

I AM RUNNING MY GUITAR THROUGH A PEDAL INTO THE LINE IN.THE VOULUME METERS IN ACID DO NOT SHOW ANY SIGNAL BEING RECEIVED.
