This question actually comes up a lot, but the truth is that it really can't be done. Things like the analogx.com vocal remover can have limited success removing vocals, but they also remove other data as well so the resulting music file will itself be minus a lagre degree of . . . well of its music and will probably still have largely audible bits of vocal. Think of it like this: You're painting a picture. You mix some red and white together to make some pink. Later, you realize you need some red, but you don't have any left. No problem though because you still have the pink. Right? When you mixed the pink you stirred it clockwise. Just stir it counter-clockwise this time and the white and the red will separate. Then take the red out. No problem . . . Check out the FAQ's for more information. I think it's FAQ #6 Dave |

Wishing for something won't make it true. Sometimes you just have to face painful reality and deal with it. |

SF's Knowledge Base Article on this issue explains everything perfectly. Think of it like eggs in a cake mix. Once you get them blended in, there isn't any way you're going to get it separated from the rest of the mix. (Mmm...cake.) :) Iacobus |
