plugins going ominously silent in Soundforge 5 -Sound Forge - PC

Subject:plugins going ominously silent in Soundforge 5 Posted by: employee Date:7/4/2002 5:34:11 AM All of a sudden , whenever I try to apply or preview any of my directx effects in Soundforge 5 , I hear no audio whatsoever. Audio is being produced , as it shows on th meters , and the audio out button is flashing , but all is silent . I tried to access a directzx effect in Fruityloops for the first time , and it went tits up , to use a technical expression . Could this have caused it, and what can I do to fix it ? Is it a question of changing settings ( how ? ) or should I just reinstall stuff.......
