ok I have to confess I'm a newbie and I just need to know if what I want to happen is possible with soundforge6. I have two mp3 files located at http://j.slyip.com/opera They seem to have a crackling noise which I am guessing has come from the microphone. So basicly all i need to know is, is it possible to remove this sound at all? If so anyone got any pointers as to where I would start?? Rgds J... |

Yes, this can be done effectivly. The Click and Crackle remover part of SF Noise Reduction-2 plug-in would definetly take a lot of that out with minimal or no audible artifacts. As an alternative, you could clean them up manually, though it would take LOTS of time: Highlight the offending click and select <Tools>-<Repair>-<Replace> . But the Click and Crackle remover is your best bet, however it's more costly $ wise. It would help if you worked on the original non-MP3 files and then re-render to MP3. It doesn't sound like a mic problem. |
