According to SonicFoundry, no. Sorry. It would be nice if newer versions included a "save as older version" feature. Obviously some of the new features wouldn't be preserved, but it would still be handy when you need to work with someone who only has the older versions. Most Microsoft Office applications have this now after MS got bombarded with complaints. It seems like a polite feature to include. |

If you know that you will be working with another user that only has ACID2, then you are best served using ACID 2 (or getting the other user to upgrade.) There are far too many ACID 3 specific project features that just can't get translated to an ACID 2 project. While it sounds trivial, this would be incredibly difficult to do. The internal structures of ACID 3 changed almost completely from ACID 1/2. It was hard enough to import ACID 1/2 projects into ACID 3. There would be far too many holes to fix up to do a save as ACID 2 and you would loose a lot in the translation. Peter |
