Subject:Loops won't load

Finally registered Acid Style 2.0 and am unable to load loops. The only way I have access to the loops on my CD is by "right-clicking" in the Explorer window and choosing "explore". When I view these files they all have a ".wa_" extension-NOT a .wav extension??!
When I attempt to load a file I get an error message
"The file is most likely corrupted or unknown format. A necessary RIFF header is missing".
I reviewed the forum and found only a similar reference regarding unrecognized or failure to open loops (with a solution posted by SonicJG). I have NOT uninstalled/reinstalled, but have dragged/dropped the "wavplug.dll" file into Acid and registered it and then restarted. This did not correct the problem.
Should I uninstall/reinstall at this point or am I just missing something?
Any practical solution will be appreciated.

Definitely try an uninstall and reinstall. It couldn't hurt at this point.
