Subject:I want to mix songs,not make em! HELP!

Hey! Im the new guy, a DJ. I want to mix songs on CPU to utilize more creativity,mixing in accapellas and using CDs as well.I was told to get sound forge but it seems like I need an acid program.I dont want to CREATE music just mix and be able to use cds.What should I buy? If acid, which one? Is there a better program?HELP! Thanks |

Remember: Acid will only let you put one wave file on each track, whereas Vegas will let you put as many as you like on a single one -- giving you more precise control over crossfades, etc. I'd probably go with Vegas if you're looking at just one app. |

actually i would suggest acid. it doesn't matter how many tracks you use if you're planning to mix it down to a cd. the bonus for acid is, it automates the process of beatmatching so you can just rip cd tracks, use the beatmapper, and slice and dice. |
