I have played many songs back in ACID 3.0 that are a combination of loops and MIDI files. However, there is one song where the MIDI file won't play. It is set to the correct port. I have resaved the MIDI file out of Cakewalk (where it plays fine) and brought it back into ACID anew, but it still won't play. Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this, or what the fix is? Thanks, James |

That is puzzling. Is there anything special about this particular MIDI file that makes it different from your other projects that have MIDI files? If it still didn't work for me, I would try rendering it in Cakewalk as a WAV and bring it into ACID that way. HTH, Iacobus |

I may indeed have to convert it to .WAV, but it is so strange. One day it works, and I save it. The next day I load it back up, and it doesn't. Maybe I'm on the outside edge of ACID's capacity. I am using two external MIDI files and 20 loops. The computer is robust, though, with 1.9 speed and 256 meg of memory. There is nothing to distinguish this file from my other MIDI files that reliably work. Thanks, 'snout |
