Subject:recording problems

my problem exists on the acid support:
but I can't find those "input settings". I know It's a silly question
please help.

Summary: When I record a new track, the rest of my project is also being recorded.

Solution:
Check the input settings on the sound card's software mixer to ensure that only the input you wish to record from is selected as the input device. Make sure that you do not have the sound card's wave output (often listed as "Wave" or "Wave Audio", on some cards "What U Hear" or "Mixed Output") selected as an input device.

Doubleclick the little yellow speaker icon in the lower right corner of the screen. Click Options, Properties, Recording, OK. Now you should see the Recording Control mixer.

in this mixer I can only control volume levels I need some where I select the recording device

There is a "Select" checkbox at the bottom of each volume control. Check the one you want to use as the input device.
