Subject:Burn-Proof for master CDs????

While checking the burn-proof technology, I came across the FAQ Definition found in the address below (from Feurio - Ahead software, the same that develops NERO):

http://www.feurio.com/English/faq/faq_vocable_burnproof.shtml

As can be checked, the conclusion at the end of the text states in RED capitals:
SO, DO NOT USE BURN-PROOF TO PRODUCE A MASTER-CD

Any one has any comments on this?

Fortunately my burners I use for CD duplication and mastering don't have "burn proof" technology, but my Laptop burner does. That's good information and makes total sense to me. Most duplication factories have CD analyzers which tell how many errors are on a CD. The more errors the harder it is for some CD players to read the disk, therefore you are running the risk of duplicating CD's which may not play in a lot of players. Thus, the reason for the duplicatin house to return your CD as being "defective" as stated in that article. I've run into this same type of problem using some brands of CDR's in the past. The amount of errors will vary drastically from brand to brand. One reason, I insist to my clients that they buy my supplied CDR's when creating a master disk which is being sent off to a duplication house......otherwise NO GUARANTEES. I usually, burn all my master cd's at 4x to avoid the buffer underun problems stated and higher error rates. Thanks for the tip!!
