Ok 2 days ago I took a big step @ the age of 16 and decided to start a very small 3D animation studio, I currently have the funds to run it (since I am funding it) Along with me I have 2 other friends helping me out, ones a great writer the othe is a great composer. The writing has done a great job so far on completing her task. Now its time for the composer to show her skill (although I have already seen it). One problem is she used midi stuff...So I need to find a way to get her to use software to produce music in .mp3 and .wav formats yet needs to be easy to use. So I need to know if Acid Pro is really worth the money. Right now things are really bumpy becuase I ahve purchased lightwave 7 educational but dont have time to learn to use it right now, so I am using Blender3D for our first project then switch to Lightwave. The whole point of this small team is to help us get into colleges. Right now I am just focusing on The Audio stand point of the first project. The composer said she would ask her parent but theres no way they are going to give her 400 dollars. And I currrently have 1,000.00 USD saved up and dont want to waste 2/5 of the money on something thats not worth it. I am also looking into purchasing the video stuff as well but not at this moment since I have flash 5 to currently have audio and video then export to .avi and use my other programs to cmpress it and so on. |

ACID Pro is one of the easiest apps to use for music creation. It's also the only version I consider to be the most flexible, as it's the only version that can do 24-bit, able to render a project with separate tracks, able to export loops preserving project key/tempo, etc. It's the perfect compliment to any multimedia app such as Flash, PowerPoint, etc. and any other audio app such as Sound Forge. Your only limit is your ability to actually create loops or get your hands on existing, "canned" loops. ACID Pro comes with a collection of loops but you'll soon hunger for more or want to create your own. (That's an entirely different subject itself.) Sound Forge XP Studio also comes with ACID Pro, which is a really great audio editor for those that want to get their feet wet. It's not as powerful as it's bigger cousin, Sound Forge, but it'll do the job for most enthusiasts. HTH, Iacobus |
