Can anyone tell me if Sound Forge 6.0 supports SMP

I would bet that yes but most plug-ins cannot use two processors capabilities.
So you can have improvements about file opening and maybe processing multiple files simultaneously but not plug-in processing :(

Sound Forge does not support multiple processors. There isn't really a need to since you would only ever be working on one file at a time.

Actually, that was only true for Sound Forge 5.0 and earlier.

Sound Forge 6.0 uses an additional thread for most processes (hence, background processing and rendering is possible), so multiple processors will alleviate context switching and help performance in that case. We just don't schedule anything explicitly (Windows can do a better job in most cases).

Very few DirectX plug-ins themselves attempt to launch multiple threads, but it isn't unheard of.
