I have a turntable hooked up to my soundcard and am having no trouble recording the table's activity in ACID. Unfortunately, I Have no idea what the table's acivity is. How can I hear what's going on through my speakers.
I usually use a Microphone for all of my recording. I have no need for audio playback of what goes into the mic because I only record vocals, and the musician can hear what comes out of his mouth. When I try to record with the table, though, I have no way of hearing what goes on. How do enable audio playback of the input during recording?
So hear is my situation again if you're confused. I'm recording with a turntable. When I press record, there is silence. I put a record on, scratch it a little - complete silence. When I press stop, I have a beatiful track that I get to hear for the first time only after recording. How can I end the silence and hear what is going on during recording???

It sounds like you have the line input volume control turned down or deselected for Playback in your sound card's mixer control panel.
