I get popping when I record in Acid. I don't get popping when I record in Sound Forge. What settings do I need to change? (I have a asus Av7 motherboard and an Athlon 1g processor w/512mb pc133 ram. I'm using a delta 44 sound card and I'm running Windows 2000 Pro.) Are there problems with any of these components?

Thanks

What are your levels like? Sounds like you're clipping.

JPrice,

Is UDMA enabled on your hard disks? Are you using 80 pin or 40 pin IDE cables? Are you recording to an auxiliary drive or the system drive? How often do you defrag them? How much onboard memory do they have? Are they old or new? Is there virus scanning software or other resource-hogging software running in the background?

Regards,
Nick LaMartina
