Subject:Digital Microphone problem

I just bought a new digital microphone to use with Soundforge 5.0. It uses a USB connector. I thought everything was installed correctly, volumes were up, and everything was in place, but I can't get Soundforge to pick up anything when I try to record with it- as if it's not even there. I've unplugged my old microphone to avoid any confusion, and I don't know what to do to get Soudnforge to let me record with this one. Any suggestions?

If it is USB, in order for Sound Forge to pick it up, it must install a wave driver and show up as an audio device. Check Options->Preferences->Wave and see if it shows up in the "Record" device list.
