Subject:Problems with bleed-through because of effects envelopes

Hey, a topic not about ReWire!

OK, I've noticed this for a while, but it hasn't been a problem for me until recently. When I have effects envelopes going, the actual effect used bleeds through into every track. So say I have some delay from an effects envelope on a bass track. I can mute the bass track and I will still here the delay from the bass on every other track, even if the effects envelope setting for all the other tracks is set to -infinite.

Like I said, I've noticed this before. But today I made a drum loop and one of the highhats had a little delay and reverb from an effects envelope on it, and when I rendered, I chose to render as seperate tracks. Well the delay and reverb from that highhat rendered on to every seperate part of the drum loop. So my kick drum .wav has the delay and reverb from the highhat, Snare .wav has the delay and reverb from the highhat, etc... Any ideas as to why? Thanks.

Try switching to "post-volume" on the track with the effect. Right-click on the FX volume menu (next to the fader).

I *think* I usually have all the FX volumes set to post-volume, but I may not. I'm a work right now, so I can't double check. But when I get home tonight I'll see if that might be my problem. Thanks for the reply.

That was the problem exactly. I swore I had all the effects set to post-volume, but I guess not. Thanks vanblah.
