I'm At my wits end, I have SF 4.5 with a Delta 66, and when I play back anything I record via S/PDIF I get poping noises, I checked my sound card and set my hardware option for S/PDIF, I set my patchbay router-Wave in 1&2 to S/PDIF also, I even set SF for S/DIF in the Options tap, I'm not sure what to do.. do I need to upgrade to 6.0 to make this work?

any help will be greatly appreciated

I don't know anything about the Delta products, but with the MOTU gear I set the
Sample Rate (to match the source your recording from)
Clock Source (SPDIF so what ever app. you are using can sync to without dropping bits)
Buffer Size (what ever you are running for playback)

In Sound Forge 4.5 5.0.6.0,Vegas,Acid and Sonar I select the SPDIF as my recording input and you are done recording using SPIDF change your clock source and inputs back to analog and internal clock.

I hope this helps.
