Subject:sound cards

I'd like to buy a sound card that boosts sound. Any suggestion about one with a pre amp. I'm recording simple voice files im mp3 but would like the boost. Is there any sound card that is industry standard?

The Midiman Delta 44 has boost capabilities (it's predecessor Dman 2044 had phyisical jumpers, but the Delta does it through the software interface.) It's a good, solid 4in/4out (1/4') card.
