Subject:Firewire Audio Capture Devices

Hi,

I'm looking into changing my USB DAT recording rig into a Firewire audio capture rig (using a laptop, win2K). Does anyone know of any devices that would work? I've found some PCMCIA-IEEE card adapters, but also need tha actual capturing device.

Whatever you do, steer clear of the MOTU 828 and 896 unless you can get a working demo of them working with your system before you buy. Search these forums for the reasons why, and also www.harmonycentral.com forums.
