Is there any way to remove the ACID information added to an audio file?

Pull it into Sound Forge and "save as" and uncheck the "save metadata" option at the bottom?

All the difference between a normal and ACIDized file is that an extra chunk of info is added to the file, making the file size somewhat of a non-issue. Any non-ACID-compatible app will just ignore this chunk of info and read the file as if it wasn't there.

Just so you know,
