Subject:Audio IN in Acid pro 4.0?

Hello, i'm a brand new user of Acid pro 4.0. What lead me to Acid was either the loops manipulating oportunities and the new MIDI implentation. I run GigaStudio, and I love this great sampler. The first tests i made within Acid pro 4.0 as the sequencer for GS was satisfying, except that it seems there is NO Audio INPUT available in Acid Pro v4.0... and it's a shame. When i run GS/Acid, I can play GS samples but i can't not get the audio generated from GS into Acid. If SonicFoundry adds in future updates Audio In, i'll be able to get my audio from GS in acid. That should be marvellous!!!! Regards, Thierry ~jam~ |

To record in Acid, click on the Record button (round button that turns red when the mouse comes over it). Press Start and Acid records to a new track. |

Djipy, GigaStudio transmit thru acid only MIDI data. To get audio in acid from GS you need to have a Audio In open in acid, connected (using virtual connection or a cable) between the audio OUt used by GS. If there is no audio IN in acid, how can it recoard... Anyway, i'm not familiar enough with Acid right now, I have to do more tests. Will do so... thank you for your response :) Regards, Thierry ~jam~ |

Forgive my stupidity! i found that in recording audio track I can select the audio IN I want while playing a GS midi track within Acid! So, it works like I want! I had just not seen the audio in in the options of acid. I have to open my eyes. BUT, The very first test below I did made Acid CRASHES! Thanx anyway for your readings... Regards, Thierry ~jam~ |
