Hello, I have a project where one of the tracks pans back and forth through the entire 5 minute song. Is there a fast "trick" to draw a panning curve. It took me a while to draw back and forth. This was on a buss track. Thanks, Rich |

Hello, I don't think there's a faster way other than keyboard shortcuts, and right click menu shortcuts, But once you get one track done you can use the envelope tool to copy and paste the envelopes to other events and tracks. Check the help file for more on this. See ya, Rockitglider |

brown man 1, if the panning you're doing is periodic, just draw out one period, then switch to the envelope tool, and select that period, and ctrl+c to copy it, and then you can paste multiple times pretty quickly. once you've done that, to copy that pan envelope to another envelope (pan or otherwise), select all of the points on that envelope and copy, then you can paste just as rockitglider suggests. best, joel |

I was trying to copy the envelope / points. Guess I was doing it incorrectly. I'll give it another shot. Thanks :) Rich |

Hello Rich, You can't copy them without using the envelope tool to highlight them fist. See ya, Rockitglider |

Try this: when you have copied the points you want to duplicate, press Ctrl+B instead of Ctrl+V (the normal paste shortcut). This will bring up a window which lets you specify the number of times you want to repeat the data you are pasting. (so if you enter '6' then the envelope shape will be pasted in 6 times). You can do this with any data in the clipboard. |
