after reading most of these new posts regarding issues with V4, i find it surprising that there has been little response from SF to date.... in fact tech support has not answered any of my emails....

I would think that most of these posts are from power users, and therefore most comments are coming from users that know what they are doing....

i have used all SF software since v1, use it everyday, on major film and tv projects here in LA, and i must say, that v4 has more problems than any other version or product in the past...

from SF's silence, it appears they are aware of the issues and are now scrambling to fix. [i hope so, i love the new features, and the new engine, much faster when it works........]

They'll get it all working eventually, but the stoic and dedicated helpers are just overwhelmed with the myriad problems and playing catchup. 4.0 is one of the least robust, buggiest, klugiest releases in SOFO history and it's going to take time to clean up the damage. Expect an alphabet soup of revisions over the coming weeks to implement the published features, then a few more to fix the bugs. This is a product that should have been released around Thanksgiving when a lot more of the basic issues had been resolved and ReWire implemented, but when cash flow talks, QC walks.

i cannot do what i do for clients without acid,vegas and forge...

Aress what are you talking about? Read down the list of posts and you'll see PLENTY of sofo reps in contact with people here. Why didn't YOU mention this Maruuk? Maruuk you've even responded to a few so how can you lie like that?

Read the first post again dude. If you'd quit ranting and helped a bit more with pointing people in the right directions to get help I wouldn't have had to make the prior points.

S-NUT--Hehe, you need a long vacation, pal. Far away from crashes, bugs, incompatibility and desperate suits that cynically release bogus, half-baked goods knowing there'll be lapdog apologists spinning the pig doo into silk purses. When you get back in 6 months, most of the bug reports will be retired.

I'm glad your enjoying this dude...because the more you act like this then when people click on your name and read your "earlier posts" they'll see to ignore the "advice" from a self proclaimed "friend to the future of sofo".

Again...What problems[if any] are you having with the demo/purchased version of acid 4?

Or are you going to answer me back with "One Flys Over The Koo Koos Nest" type response thus far.

Your great at manipulating the obvious...thats about it.

With all due respect, you have been a bit of a Jekyll & Hyde in here recently. Bashing SoFo, then waving the flag for them, now bashing them again...

Perhaps you should channel your energies into your next Indie Film project, score a boat load of cash and bankroll your own team of programmers to crack Acid 4 and add ReWire support to your copy of it...
