Subject:Sound Forge 6.0 Read Only Edit

Why the user change in Sound Forge 6.0 that requires a file to not be read only before it can be editited or sent to a sampler? I find this VERY annoying since my samples are on CD and it requires me to save to disk before I can send to sampler.

Can this be disabled? If not is there plans to revert it to the way it was before 6.0? It is really the reason i refuse to use 6.0.
