I hope anybody can help me on this one...

soundforge 6 was working amazingly well!!... best soundforge yet! .. but i had to reinstall my computer (i use XP) and ofcourse i had to reinstall SF6 aswell. but this time instead of loading up and being badass, it completely hangs my system at the splash screen. I even tried updating to the newer version, but it keeps doing the same thing!

whenever i restart the system, windows tells me that my display driver had an error... i use the ATI All in Wonder Radeon 3000DV. (which is the latest version aswell!)

does anybody have any hints???

thanks in advance!

If it worked before, then there may have been a corruption during the new install. Try removing it and installing it again.

There is currently a bug in the new ATI driver. They know about the problem and they will be fixing it. To work around the problem for now, you just have to revert back to the previous version of the driver.

I have had the same problem. I can confirm that it is the ATI video driver, because I have a Radeon 64 MB DDR, and once I installed the new drivers (WinXP 6.13.6118), my previously working SF 6.0 did the same exact thing, it froze the entire computer. But now, I installed the beta drivers, and guess what, SF doesn't freeze anymore, but I get a rundll error from SF saying it can't find a specific program. I ran SF on microsoft's debugging program and here's what I got:

So it looks like something to do with the advapi.dll, also I've seen another error with ntdll.dll. I have no idea what they are, but I asume something with the video driver.
