Posted by: djxpress Date:8/29/2002 5:52:18 PM If you have Windows XP and own an ATI card and try to start SF6 or Acid Pro, or any other Sonic Foundry program, and you get an immediate crash or hang, try this.... I downloaded the Video for Windows from the Utilities section of this site. I installed it, then reinstalled SF6. Problem solved. I know the crash had something to do with the video drivers, and I knew I could remedy this because I have been able to use SF6 in the past, but when I installed the new ATI video drivers, SF6 no longer worked. So try what I did, and hopefully your problem will be solved. Let me know if this helps. Matt

There is a bug in the ATI drivers. They did confirm this and said it would be fixed in the next revision.
