hi!

I've donloaded the 4.0 demo and i have a question.

I create a MIDI track with a link with a vsti instrument.
I would like to change tempo but MIDI track stay in 120 BPM tempo (i try to change the event tempo to 135 but that doesn't change it)
Is it because it's a demo version or a bad manipulation...

Thanks

Hi

The actual tempo within a MIDI track in an ACID project doesn't really make a difference. Since the MIDI track's measures and beats are locked to ACID's, you can simply change the project's tempo via the Project Tempo slider on the left side of the ACID window to the tempo you desire. Your MIDI track will then play back at the selected tempo.

HTH,
Nate

Hi,

Thanks for your fast answer, but here is my problem.

I create a MIDI track.
I link it to a VSTI INSTRUMENT (FM7 from Native instrument).
I draw in piano roll Editor a Measure (1 bar for 1 measure).
I choose a loop patch on the vsti (TEMPO SYNC In a classic sequencer this kind of patch sync on the project tempo).
It's ok when i listen it to 120 BPM (the default midi tempo i guess), but when i pitch the tempo to 135 BPM i heard the loop is not correctly hmmm... looping! (Sorry i'm french...).

So my question is it possible to synchronize VSTI instrument on the ACID TEMPO?

Thanks for reading

As far as I know, not at the moment - you would have to set the tempo in Acid AND in FM7 to the same setting.

(correct me anyone if I am wrong)

No, there is a provision in the VST instrument interface that allows the host application to provide the instrument with current tempo and loop position so that synths like the FM7 or FruityLoops can do tempo sync. This was not functioning in the release version of ACID 4.0, and will be addressed in the next update.
