I downloaded the free 100 loops they had as part of their special offer. Wasn't impressed with the "fake voice" loops. The rest were pretty good, but...NO ROOT NOTES??? That was the deal breaker for me. I've got an old Data Becker CD set that doesn't have root notes in the meta data...I would have thought a product put out by "AcidFanatic" would at least be fully Acid-ized... |

I thought the robotic/vocoder voices were kinda cool. I've always believed canned loops were meant for mangling anyway. Since most of the loops were percussive-based, I can see why there's no root note. However, if I wanted to base a loop in a root note, there's always the option of changing it within ACID itself or bring it into Sound Forge and permanently alter the root note that way. Iacobus |
