Subject:Acid 4.0 Crash

I was trying to alt drag a loop to change it's timing whilst I was playing back my song, and I got the following crash ..

When is the next release due ? Acid is crashing on me every 10 minutes or so. I've got into the habit of saving after every change i make, now that my song has got to a reasonable size ( about 40 tracks, all audio, no midi )

I couldn't repro, but I do find that I get a lot of clicks when I slip audio in an event while playing. Also, midi events don't keep slipping after your mouse leaves the border of the event the way audio does.

What's your hardware? Soundcard? Video card? Using ASIO with a Delta card? If it's crashing on you that much, there's something really wrong.

I get crashes, for example, when I use the Delta ASIO drivers or when I use the ASIO drivers for MIDI/soft synths. I switch to WDM drivers and it's fine.

Creative SB Audigy, Driver Date 8/1/2001, WDM drivers not ASIO, the ASIO drivers I have only support 48kHz not 44.1

TC Powercore Driver Version 1.6.1.6

none of my other audio software flakes out as much, apart from Cubase SX, but then that is brand new as well, and they're always notoriously flaky on new releases.
