Hi,

I've had Acid 2.0 for awhile, but never had time to start learning it. Ok, now I'm trying to learn it. I'm trying to do the following:

1 -- I've created a .wav file in another program. It has like (2) notes that repeat (4) times.

2 -- I've opened the .wav file in Acid.

3 -- I would like to 'loop' this wave file so that it repeats say for around (3) minutes.

I can't seem to find any instructions in the help files about how to do this. Nothing seems to pertain to my goal. Isn't this one of the main things that Acid does? If Acid can do this, is there a place on line or something, or can someone give me simple, clear instructions?

Thanks very much, metrov

i'm new to acid too
i am reading sams teach yourself acid in 24 hours
do yourself a favor--buy this book and download the manaul
then ask questions
it will be more meaningful
:)
just use draw tool to the track for 3 minutes--it will loop
open the chopper---creat a loop---insert on the timeline for 3 minutes
there are like 3 ways to do this
if you read the manual in 2 hours you will learn enough to get started
**also, download the free pdf manual from sonic foundry acid
good luck

If the loop has already been made locate it in the explorer window and drag it upwards into the track list. Then as sb says draw the track using the draw tool (it looks like a pencil). Getting a book is a good idea but I usually learn a new application by pushing buttons! Just remember that CTRL-Z usually undoes any damage 'exploring' might do. It goes without saying to always explore using a new file and not anything important!

PS Acid 2 doesn't have a chopper tool!

Make sure you have the .wav file set as a loop. (right-click on the track, hit properties and then make sure the track type says loop)

no offense but 2 notes repeated 4 times as a loops.. I horpe you have something interesting to make out of it if it is to be looped for 3 min!
