Anybody know of a step sequencer(VST, of course) that could input data to another VST (say, Battery) inside of a host like ACID or Nuendo? Something that would work similar to ReDrum or ReBirth, among others? I just got the Plugsound libraries and they are the beesknees! Do yourself a favor and check 'em out and they work great in ACID... |

What you are asking for is essentially a VST instrument that can also act as a VST host to step sequence another instrument. I am not aware of anything simple that will allow you to do this. FruityLoops may have the "stepped" interface you desire, and can host a secondary VST instrument while running within ACID. The next update of ACID will correct the VST sync issues that have been mentioned on this forum and allow ACID and FruityLoops to work together, so you may want keep this in mind for when the update becomes available.
