Is your a WamiRack24? I had nothing buy problems under 9x. Perhaps its time you upgrade your o/s? 2000 and XP + Wami is no trouble at all. I see you have 2 soundcards. There may be an IRQ Conflict. Try changing their IRQs or change one's PCI slot. |

Yes, it's a Wamirack 2496 and all IRQ conflicts have been taken care of. Driver 1.9 works fine, but the updates do not. I guess I may go back to 1.9 until Vegas gets ASIO support. Which driver are you using? How does Vegas display the available inputs? Thanks, Dave |

egosys doesn't make a wamirack 2496. perhaps thats the problem. wami is either 192, 192lx, or 24. only waveterminal is 2496 get ewdm ver 3.80 for wamirack24: http://esi-pro.com/esi-pro/eng/service/driver/pg_driver.cgi?2+12+WAMI RACK 24#gotoxyz or wamirack 192: http://esi-pro.com/esi-pro/eng/service/driver/pg_driver.cgi?2+13+WAMI RACK 192 LX - PC#gotoxyz or waveterminal 2496: http://esi-pro.com/esi-pro/eng/service/driver/pg_driver.cgi?2+14+WAVETERMINAL 2496#gotoxyz sorry, i dont use vegas but avid sees all. |

You know, I really must be crazy. I use a piece of equipment long enough and I start calling it by the wrong name. Thanks for pointing that out. Yes, it is a Wamirack 24, and I had downloaded the correct drivers. As I said, Acid 4.0 sees everything correctly, but Acid 3.0 had the same problem as I'm having with Vegas 2.0. Thanks for the quick responses. Dave |

now is not a bad time to upgrade your o/s. running asio drivers can tax any o/s that is not multitask friendly. win9x is not good at it. |

Perhaps you are correct. Four years on, maybe it's time to jump to 2K or XP Thanks for the help. Dave |

if you reluctant to goto 2k or xp, i'll sell you my boxed winme for $25. it handles the ewdm driver better than 9x but not as well as 2k or xp. that way you won't have to find new drivers for your existing hardware. |

Thanks for the offer, but it seems like half a solution. If I do indeed upgrade, I'll do it all the way. Thanks again for the help. Dave |
