I was just wondering, in Fruityloops, I can get about 11ms latency with my generic soundcard... in Acid when I play a synth it sounds like about 300ms. is there a way to adjust the latency? |

If you are using Wave Classic drivers, then set the buffering in the Preference | Audio Tab. The default is 350 ms. Depending on the driver you can get down to sub 100 ms using Wave Classic. (Example: RME or Lynx Studio cards let me work at 10-20ms because these are native Wave drivers. The MAudio Delta cards will work at 80-100 ms, but these are WDM Wave Emulated drivers.) If you are using ASIO, then buffering is set in the control panel for the driver. You can reach this by going to the Preferences |Audio Tab and clicking the Advanced button. Peter |
