Subject:CPU Usage!??!

With Acid Pro 4.0, my CPU usage shoots up to about 90-100% with 6 tracks...but with Acid Pro 3.0 (same machine), it's only about 33-40% with 47 tracks. Anyone else getting this kinda mileage? What gives?

for the most part, there is no difference in CPU usage with my songs....
But then sometimes, ALL OF A SUDDEN, it SHOOTS up to 100% and slows my entire system to a crawl.

this happens often and SUX!
