Subject:PLS HELP a newbie with Acid 3.0 techno

would anyone please help me. After reading all the feedbacks from this forum, I went out and bought and installed the ACID 3.0 Techno. The probem is that my pc always freeze up everytime I double clicks the shortcup trying to use it =( . My pc specs: Pen4 1.8; win 2000; Please help me out because I really love to try it out. thx

Partagas,

Try this:

1. Click "Start" on your toolbar.
2. Goto "Settings".
3. Click "Control Panel".
4. Double-click "Display".
5. Select the "Troubleshooting" tab.
6. Turn your hardware accelration off using the slider.

yehaa!!! I turned off the hardware accelerator and downloaded the Acid 3.0 techno upgrade...voommm...it is ON now. thank you to mD and nlamartina

Good, I'm glad it worked for you. This is a known issue with the current ATI drivers. If you'd still like to use hardware acceleration for whatever reason, just use an older version of the drivers until ATI fixes the current ones. Otherwise, leave it alone.
