You can get invited. How do you get invited? Well, you can contribute to the community like a good little music citizen, unlike some people. :)

Lol... Yeah, basically that. While I don't know the specifics, I'd imagine it simply involves contributing regulary to the forums to help display your ability to analyze and solve problems while using the software. Basically, know it inside out and be able to understand why and how things do and don't work, not only based upon personal experience, but also from simple text communication. "Communication" being the key word. A willingness to help assist other I think would be a must too, since testing involves the efforts of many different people, so loner-I'll-do-it-my-way-and-screw-the-rest-of-you-if-you-disagree types aren't exactly the ideal. This is all speculation, but I don't imagine I'm far off.
