After windows SP1 soundforge 5 won't work! -Sound Forge - PC

Subject:After windows SP1 soundforge 5 won't work! Posted by: stool1234567890 Date:9/11/2002 8:01:35 AM I installed windows XP service pack1. After that I'm not able to start soundforge 5.0 anymore! (I tried both e and f releases). Before SP1 update i was able to run soundforge ONLY if compatibility mode has been set to W2000 or W98. Now after SP1 update, compatibility mode does not work. I get a message that says something like "soundforge is not properly installed..." If I remove compatibility mode, there is no messages but soundforge quits immediately when trying to start it. I tried re-installing with e and f releases many times. No help! So what is the solution? I'll have work to do... sonicfoundry? stige

Did you try to uninstall and then reinstall? Just reinstalling the program might not do it.
